Metallica, the band that lead the fight to kill Napster...which lead to 10 years of the major labels actively fighting against the digital revolution... which lead to the death of the music industry as we knew it from the 70s to the 90s (not necessarily a bad thing)...is now considering doing what Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails have done before them: releasing their new album digitally and allowing customers (who they used to loudly refer to as thieves) to decide how much to pay for it.

Oh, the irony.

Imagine if everyone who downloads the album refuses to pay for it...one might call that a case of ...And Justice For All.
