Live365 Broadcaster Profile

Listen to "480 Minutes," winner of the Best Of Live365 Award for Best Live Show, hosted by Ted Leibowitz, the CMJ Specialty Music Director of the Year Award Winner, also voted one of the Best DJs of the Bay Area by SF Bay Guardian readers in 2005 & 2006, every Friday from 9a.m. to 5p.m. Pacific Time.

Other live shows include The Absolutely Kosher Cory Show on Tuesdays and Beedub's Spacerock Coninuum on Wednesdays. We are looking for a new hosted show on Thursdays, so if you want to be a radio star, get in touch.

BAGeL Radio is on the air 24 hours a day 7 days a week, playing the newest and best indie rock on the planet. If you want to hear more than just the same 40 songs over and over again, BAGeL Radio can help. Tune in to the more than 4000 songs on the continually updated BAGeL Radio playlists. Playlists include indie rock, alternative rock, and noisy pop. Mostly guitar music...no testosterock. Other featured genres include electronic music, hip hop, garage rock, 60s psychedelia, and even some classic rock.

Former Boston club DJ/manager now living in SF, my station plays indie rock, alternative rock, electronic music, hip hop, gargage rock, 60s psychedelia, home-made Public Service Announcements (with and without guitars), and whatever else I need a fix of at the moment. Give a listen, take notes, and send your comments to feedback@bagelradio.com.

Ted Leibowitz, owner and D.J. of BAGeL Radio, an indie-rock Web station he runs from a spare room in his apartment in San Francisco.

I was on TV in a story about the internet radio Day of Silence, and quoted in the LA Times, SF Chronicle, Also I am a participant in a Ruth Seymour-hosted hour-long round table discussion that's streaming on KCRW.com all day during the internet radio Day of Silence (6/26/07).

Two Years Running!

BAGeL RADIO won the 2005 College Music Journal (CMJ) Specialty Music Director of the Year Award. Seriously. First internet radio station to win a CMJ award. And it's a real award!

WIRED Magazine (Dec.'05) says:
'Hipsters, rejoice! Stay on top of the indie rock scene with this 24/7 Internet station based in SF. Direct your audio player to bagelradio.com for the best in noise pop'

The text above reads:
"Savvy indie-rock fans have singled out SF-based internet station BAGeL Radio as their choice for the best noise pop without the crap. Friday's host (and site-launcher) Ted has garnered the most passionate accolades; one reader modestly gushed that he is "the best DJ in the entire world!!!!" Four exclamation points is high praise indeed. Whether on his webcasts, podcasts, or through the live shows he books throughout the Bay Area, Ted has attracted national awards and attention, but our readers can rightfully claim that they found him first."
