"480 Minutes" - I Hardly Know Where To Begin...
...because I have so much great new stuff to share with you this week. It was one of those weeks that I only got through about half the stuff that arrived because such a high percentage of what I did listen to was so good that it required repeated listens to figure out what to play. I LOVE music weeks like this!
The list of new stuff being debuted during today's "480 Minutes" includes Strokes guitarist gone solo artist Albert Hammond, Jr., Apples In Stereo, Chris & Mollie, Deerhoof, Deerhunter, The Dexateens, Dinosaur Jr., The (Mighty) Fall (the American-backed Mark E. Smith-lead reformed-yet-again-Fall), Kristin Hersh, Modest Mouse (with Johnny Marr), and My Teenage Stride. Did I mention new Dinosaur Jr.? I think I did. It's soooooo gooooood.
We will also hear songs by the three bands playing the BAGeL Radio hosted Noise Pop Happy Hour next Wednesday, February 28th. You really should close out the mini-month in style by cutting out of work early and joining us at Thee Parkside at 5pm for The Otherside, Peloton, and The Union Trade. At 5pm. Seriously. It's a happy hour. It's free to get in, and I understand that there will be drink specials -- and Thee Parkside is an inexpensive joint to begin with.
Please tune in for "480 Minutes" today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time and request songs and stuff via:
