"480 Minutes" - new Freshkills, Ponytail

Happy August! As usual, another month completely snuck up on me. I think my paper calendar is still on May...

Next Tuesday is the BAGeL Radio Presents... Darker My Love show at The Independent at which you will get your very own free copy of their new CD. You should support the band and buy your tickets in advance, but a few lucky listeners today will win free tickets during "480 Minutes," so listen up for Darker My Love and The Fall. When you hear a song by either band get in touch (contact info below) and you might just win yourself a pair of free tickets.

More really good new music arrived this week including stuff from Freshkills (Brooklyn, NY), The Coast (Toronto, Canada), Oxford Collapse (Brooklyn, NY), Ponytail (Baltimore, MD), Telepathique (Sao Paulo, Brazil), The Bug (London, England), Jeff Hanson (St. Paul, MN), Totimoshi (Alameda, CA), Bark Hide And Horn (Portland, OR), Nat Kendall Presents: Songbird Sing (San Francisco, CA), The Gaslight Anthem (New Brunswick, NJ), Super XX Man (Portland, OR), White Lies (a major label band from England...shhh, don't tell!), and Florence And The Machine (London, England).

Besides the Tuesday August 5th BAGeL Radio Presents... Darker My Love, Lumerians, and The Eulogies @ The Independent show, don't forget that next Wednesday (August 6th) is The Rumble, featuring an intimate mini-set by Sugar & Gold --free admission before 10pmif you RSVP. Then on Friday 8/8 our friends The Owl Mag are celebrating their 3rd Anniversary at the Independent with Wallpaper, Hottub, & Vitamin Party, plus DJ sets by Aaron Axelsen of Live 105 and Amplive of Zion-I. Buy tickets for The Owl Mag par-tay.

Please tune in to "480 Minutes" today and every Friday. The show runs live from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time, is rebroadcast starting at 7 p.m., then twice more on Saturday. On Saturday night at midnight we return to regular BAGeL Radio programming.
