"480 Minutes" - 11.11.11 - Corduroy Day!

Happy 11.11.11, which some peple think is the most important day in history!  I'm surrounded by a picket fence while wearing corduroys to match the striped nature of today's 111111 date, are you?

We even made a playlist for the event, which you can listen to via MOG or Rdio.

Welcome to BAGeL Radio's flagship program, 480 Minutes aka the Friday live marathon broadcast.  The show is on live and in-person every Friday from 9 a.m. from 5 p.m. Pacific Time, hosted by multiple-time winner of the CMJ Specialty Music Director of the year, Ted Leibowitz.   480 Minutes is a weekly hosted internet radio show featuring the best new indie rock, sounding perhaps what Alt Rock radio would sound like had that format not been hijacked in the 90s by weak grunge-lite and Hot Topic punk rock.

Today we have tickets to give away for Army/Navy with  Grand Archives and New Diplomat at The Rickshaw Stop next Tuesday, 11/15, so keep your ears peeled and get in touch when you hear an  Army/Navy song for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the show.

Today we'll be debuting new music by Ashtar Command (Chicago, IL), The Black Belles (Nashville, TN), Brief Candles (Milwaukee, WI), Caveman (New York, NY), Churches (Oakland, CA),   City Light (San Francisco, CA), Friends (Brooklyn, NY), Future Of The Left (Cardiff, Wales), The Joy Formidable (London, England), Kele (London, England), Kidstreet (Waterloo, Canada), Kurt Vile (Philadelphia, PA), Los Campesinos! (Cardiff, Wales),   Lower 48 (Minneapolis, MN), Prefab Messiahs (Worcester, MA), Regurgitator (Brisbane, Australia), Summer Camp (London, England), Tycho (San Francisco< CA), and Yael Meyer (Los Angeles, CA).

Speaking of City Light, we are hosting the show they are playing at Bottom of the Hill along with Her Space Holiday and Silver Swans on Saturday, December 16h, 2011.  You can buy advance tickets here, and you will be able to win tickets while listening to 480 Minutes on 12/8 and 12/15.
