480 Minutes - new Horrors!
As long-time BAGeL Radio listeners know, we've been big fans of
The Horrors since their earliest releases, back when the music press regularly trashed them for their look and for their garage-rock sound. Then the band reinvented itself musically for
Primary Colours (
our #1 album of 2009), yet many critics seemingly could not shake their initial negative feelings about the band. Finally on third album
Skying critics started coming around to what a brilliant band this is (although we still prefer
Primary Colours,
Skying is most excellent). Well, now
The Horrors are back with
Luminous, and after a few listens we are pleased to announce in no uncertain terms that they are once again in fine form. We will be playing several songs from
Luminous today -- critics be damned!
Please tune in for today's brand new episode of the award-winning, live-hosted
480 Minutes program (Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Eastern U.S.Time): http://somafm.com/bagel/
