Walking at night through a swarm of fireflies is one of those sure signs of summer that always makes me smile.  It happened to me a few weeks ago, and it was glorious, and I've kept quiet about it because I didn't want those tiny brilliant miracles to get all shy and stop lighting my way.  They haven't.  Last night one decided that my glasses were a fine place to alight, and of course I looked directly at it right as it decided it was time to glow.  My first apocalyptic thought was "insta-migraine!" but fortunately I was just partially blinded for a few seconds.
