480 Minutes - Entitled Snowflake

Their own propaganda network found Dr. Ford credible, but for Orange Nixon and the Deplorables, her credibility is not relevant. Nor is Judge Kavanaugh's lying to congress, obvious partisan leanings, and temperamental unfitness to keep even the job he holds, let alone be elevated to the Supreme Court.

Kavanaugh's evidence-free rant against Democrats during his opening statements made clear that he is hardly non-partisan and therefore not at all the neutral jurist he claims to be. He was combative, referenced right wing loon conspiracy theories, and somehow even managed to blame the Clintons...it was more than anyone hoping he'd reveal himself as an unfit partisan could have hoped.

When Senator Kamala Harris asked Kavanaugh if he'd listened to his accuser's testimony, his "no" response revealed that all of the talk about respecting Dr. Ford and wanting her to have the opportunity to speak was a lie. "Sure, let her speak, we're not going to listen to what she has to say anyway" is the reality.

When Senator Amy Klobuchar asked Kavanaugh if he'd ever blacked out from drinking, as has been alleged by several of his former classmates, he disrespectfully replied, "Have you?" and pressed her to answer the question. Can you imagine doing that to someone who is interviewing you for a job? How entitled to this job does this guy think he is?

Let's say you believe Kavanaugh and not Ford. Fine. He's not on trial for a crime, he's being interviewed for a job. A very important job that will affect the lives of millions. He claimed all week to want to hear what Dr. Ford had to say, then admitted he didn't listen to her to testimony. He was flustered, belligerent, evasive, repeatedly talked over his interviewers, and refused to ask the White House to let the FBI investigate to clear his name. Does that sound like an innocent, neutral, non-partisan jurist to you? Talk about a job interview FAIL...

Today's BAGeL Radio debuts will include new music today from Garage Class (Alsager, England),  Metric (Toronto, Canada, @metric), and  Mudhoney (Seattle, WA, @mudhoney). Only three? Yes, only three, despite the usual 600+ songs submitted this week.  I blame Kavanaugh. Despite having a good week personally, I've been grouchy due to Orange Nixon and the mendacious political operative he's trying to install at the Supreme Court, so it's possible that some of the submissions reviewed were better than I thought and deserve a revisit.

The show is live-hosted from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Eastern U.S. Time and is followed by 2 hours of uninterrupted music.  The show is then rebroadcast in it's entirety beginning at 7 p.m., then again on Saturday at 5 a.m. and 3 p.m., and one final time on Sunday at 1 a.m., followed by a rebroadcast of this week's  Fuzzy Road radio show at 11 a.m. and then a couple of old  480 Minutes episodes from this week in past years, so there will be hosted shows all weekend long.
