This week the author of the decision to reverse Roe vs. Wade gave a speech in which he admitted the decision was ”lambasted by a whole string of foreign leaders.” He takes pride in knowing that smart people overseas think his decision is a regressive moment in the arc of justice & equality. He left out that his decision was also lambasted by a majority of domestic leaders, as well as a strong majority of U.S. citizens.

Theocratic fascists like Sam Alito don’t care what anyone thinks, nor for the common good. For decades his benefactors, the Heritage Foundation, have been pushing talking points about “activist judges,” once again revealing that their accusations are almost invariably admissions — packing the court with unqualified ideologically captive actual activist judges to undo 50 years of precedent has been their fever dream all along. The right is broadly undermining representative democracy with efforts to throw away the votes of millions, remove the wall between church & state, protect the powerful, & stripping civil rights from the majority of Americans.

Also Republican Senators blocked a healthcare bill to support military veterans suffering the effects of toxins they were exposed to as part of their jobs.Those Republican Senators voted overwhelmingly for the same bill just last month. The bill was returned to the Senate for another vote because the House made modest changes before passing the bill on a 342-88 vote. Those senators now have (more) veterans’ blood on their hands…and somehow Republican voters don’t care & will vote these soulless heartless duplicitous bastards back into office again & again.
