Bumbling Benedict Orange took home classified documents to Florida when he was voted out. This is not remotely legal as he & his staff are well aware — those documents do not belong to him, they belong to us & they belong in the National Archive. Word is he had aides put documents into “burn bags” to be destroyed, tore up others with his tiny orange fingers, flushed still others down the toilet (no wonder he thinks toilets are too low-flow!). This is the fellow who hammered his 2016 election opponent over having a private e-mail server, & the mainstream media obliged by making that non-story an above-the-fold A1 (aka lead) story time & again ahead of the election. By comparison this week the New York Times ran the story of Don The Con taking home classified materials on page A15.

But, you know, it’s the the e-mail lady who should be locked up for storing things on the wrong server (bad, but not nearly as bad, especially since it was unintentional as opposed to, you know, flushing documents & stealing others.

In other news I keep seeing daily Breaking News! alerts about Russia amassing troops to invade Ukraine & each time I can’t help but wonder what #Individual1 agreed to during those multiple unsupervised, unprepared-for, one-on-one meetings with the savvy former KGB agent/current dictator. What could they have been discussing? “You want to destabilize NATO? Hold my beer!” Did he even get anything in return for selling out the alliance which has kept the world somewhat geopolitically stable for his entire lifetime?

Meanwhile the U.S. march toward Gilead continues as Republicans in Oklahoma have introduced a bill that would allow them to track women considering getting an abortion. They’ve named it EMMA: Every Mother Matters Act, because in 2022 being an asshole is a core Republican value.
