"480 Minutes" - Reality Television is Not Reality

We're having a bit of a heat wave here in NYC and across much of the U.S. temperatures are quite high.  Being outside in Manhattan on Wednesday taught me what it must have felt like to be a Pop Tart, or Toaster Strudel.

The middle of the summer is a quiet time of year for submissions -- volume is low, making the gems far fewer and further between.  Fortunately we've had a lot of terrific new submissions in recent weeks, so we'll get to refocus on those and perhaps unearth a few classics along the marathon route.

Today from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Eastern U.S. Time BAGeL Radio presents an all-new, live-hosted edition of 480 Minutes featuring just a couple of new playlist additions.

The award-winning 480 Minutes program is rebroadcast on Friday evenings beginning at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 5 a.m. and 3 p.m., and Sundays at 1 a.m. ET.

Today's show will include new tunes by Essential Tremors (Nashville, TN), JPNSGRLS (Vancouver, Canada, @jpnsgrls),  Mick Harvey (Bad Seeds), and Mueran Humanos (Berlin, Germany, @mueran_humanos).
