"480 Minutes" - SF Invades NYC

This is a public service announcement (without guitars): enjoy your friends and family (yes, I opened with the same words last week) and remember that the only thing that really matters in the end is those you love and those who love you.  This point was brought home this week with the news that bass player of Grandaddy up and died this week, unexpectedly, at age 41.  None of us are promised tomorrow.  Live, love, enjoy, and try to make things better for others, including those who will own the planet when you are gone.  I feel most fortunate that several of my favorite San Franciscans are coming to visit this week.

Public service announcement (without guitars) #2: No team is as good as it looks when it is winning, and no team is as bad as it looks as when it is losing.  Except for the 1998 New York Yankees, who really were that good.

This is a public service announcement (with guitars): Today the award-winning 480 Minutes show today will contain new songs by Alex Napping (Austin, TX, @alexnapping), Boss Hog (New York, NY, @bosshogbitches), Eyelids (Portland, OR, @musicofEYELIDS), Guilty Giraffe (Yonkers, NY), INHEAVEN (London, England, @inheaven), PWR BTTM (Brooklyn, NY, @pwrbttmband), and Walrus (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, @walrustheband).
