"480 Minutes" - Suspenders (of Disbelief)
This is a public service announcement (without guitars): When we go to the movies we are supposed to willfully suspend our disbelief. I get that. For the last 25 years or so the plot holes have been so big, the character narratives so weak, and the CGI so awful that it's rare that I enjoy movies anymore. This has been a problem for me since childhood: after my dad took me to see
, my review included, "It wasn't realistic. That whole time and the dog never had to pee? Not once?! C'mon!" Now I see this problem has crossed over into real life as I watch conservatives trip over their own words and policies and stated morality to defend someone who specializes in self-incrimination on an almost daily basis. "Really? Your excuse now is that "he probably didn't know what he was doing was wrong?! C'mon!!"
