Here in the U.S. many just enjoyed a 3-day Labor Day weekend of BBQ, booze, and forgetting all about what it is we are celebrating. This is one area where I kinda agree with the tinfoil hat crowd: the mainstream media does the bidding of the 1% by focusing solely on the "end of summer, back to school, burgers and dogs" aspect while ignoring labor, unions, workers' rights, and the regression of those hard-won rights over the past 35 years.
Many Americans take Friday off as well making it 4-day weekend, and a handful of cheeky others take off Tuesday and splurge for 5-consecutive days off. I expect that both of said contingents will show up to the program today somewhat fuzz-brained from all that time away from the grind, and this show is dedicated to them.
This edition of BAGeL Radio's Tuesday live-hosted psych rock and garage punk show featuring fuzzy tunes by My Drunken Haze, The Velvet Underground, Woods, The Californians (pictured), and Last Quokka.
