"480 Minutes" - Maladjusted Men, Lifetime Appointments

Lawrence VanDyke, another supremely unqualified and unfit partisan Orange Menace nominee for  the federal judiciary broke down and cried at his Federal Court of Appeals job interview this week. Republicans want a lifetime appointment for this touchy fellow whose American Bar Association review includes: “arrogant, lazy, an ideologue, and lacking in knowledge of the day-to-day practice.” According to the scathing ABA review, "a substantial majority of the Committee has determined that Mr. VanDyke is “Not Qualified.”"

As if that weren't enough, when questioned, the nominee cried. He broke down and cried, unable for a time to answer a question posed by a Republican junior senator. He couldn't handle a question from a Republican! Besides what the ABA says about his body of work, VanCry is so obviously temperamentally fit for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit it would be a joke if he is not removed from consideration of this job. They're not kidding, unfortunately. Brett Kavanaugh completely lost his composure on national television, sweating while he cried and shouted angrily in an entitled rage insulting the senators conducting his job interview yet somehow that obviously unfit, compromised mess of a man is now seated on the U.S. Supreme Court.

Welcome the U.S. in 2019, where an unqualified career liar and grifter sits in the Oval Office corrupting and degrading everything and everyone he touches, nominating for very sober, serious, consequential seats on the highest courts in the land partisan hacks who cannot control their emotions.

In other fun news, yesterday at BAGeL Radio HQ we had a 9-hour internet outage, so if you tuned in and BAGeL Radio didn't sound quite right, it's because you were hearing a backup stream which has not been updated in years. That will be remedied this weekend. All apologies for the downtime, hardly current music, and any other technical weirdness you may have encountered.

Today's 480 Minutes show will feature new music today by Desert Sessions (Joshua Tree, CA, @Desert_Sessions), Levitation Room (Los Angeles, CA, @levitationroom), Mark Lanegan (Ellensburg, WA, @marklanegan), The New Pornographers (Vancouver, Canada, @thenewpornos), The Shivas (Portland, OR, @TheShivas), and Women of the Night (Brooklyn, NY).

480 Minutes is live-hosted from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Eastern U.S. Time and is followed by 2 hours of uninterrupted music. The show is then rebroadcast in it's entirety beginning at 7 p.m., then again on Saturday at 5 a.m. and 3 p.m., and one final time on Sunday at 1 a.m., followed by a rebroadcast of this week's Fuzzy Road radio show at 11 a.m. and then a couple of old 480 Minutes episodes from this week in past years, making for hosted shows all weekend long.

If you have trouble remembering when the live-hosted shows and re-runs air, check out the extremely crappy-looking program schedule embedded here:
