The new Speaker of the House Mike Johnson sent congress home early for the weekend 8 days before the next GOP ransom bomb (government shutdown) is set to explode the U.S. economy. Instead of keeping congress in town to avert the cascading disasters such a bomb would cause, pious MAGA Mike is flying off to France to speak at a Fascist summit.The bill also includes Nigel Brexit Farage, Devin “hiding in the bushes” Nunes, members of the National Front, the leader of the ‘Freedom Convoy,’ a Moms 4 Liberty spokesperson, Orbán’s political director, married South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, & former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski (Noem’s boyfriend, also married). I guess the Pillow guy had other plans this weekend but still, what a righteous & biblical bunch, amirite?

In other news, it has been a year & a half since the Leonard Leo majority on the Supreme Court overturned 50 years of precedent on reproductive rights saying that decisions about women’s healthcare belongs with the states. This week Ohio voters overwhelmingly voted to enshrine reproductive rights into their state constitution. Before the final tally was counted Republicans in the Ohio House of Representatives responded with a proclamation that they would do everything in their power to subvert the will of Ohio voters. The GOP rejects election results they don’t like. Subverting election results is anathema to democracy. The GOP is a clear & present danger to our system of government & needs to be treated as such.

Also, it has been revealed that insane amounts of money have poured in from Conservative PACs to support Krysten “I don’t know how to spell my first or last name” Sinema & Joe Manchin, the two “Democratic” senators who repeatedly blocked President Biden’s agenda. Coincidence?

Finally, now that RFK Jr.’s White House bid has petered out, Putin’s pal Jill Stein is back in the race as a 3rd party candidate hoping to syphon votes from President Biden. Keep an eye on Manchin to be next plant to enter the race as a spoiler.
