“480 Minutes” - Reversing Progress

The richest man on the planet started his “gov’t efficiency” efforts by blocking life-saving services to some of the poorest people on the planet using the authority granted him by a guy with a gold-plated toilet. This very obvious & appropriate angle (obscenely rich guy takes food from starving children) somehow hasn’t been taken up by our mainstream media, politicians (including those who very recently supported USAID & it’s mission), leaving the American public to believe that this reckless dismantling of the U.S. gov’t is about…efficiency.

Similarly, the gold toilet dolt is removing discrimination protections for vulnerable minority groups & replacing them with…wait for it…discrimination protections for those that share his Christian “faith,” you know, the dominant religion & culture in the U.S. The reactions to this crime against forming “a more perfect union” have also been muted at best.

Meanwhile China can’t wait to provide food, Malaria nets, clothing, & medications to the world’s poorest now that USAID has been dissolved overnight. Millions abroad who still saw the U.S. as a beacon of hope will now see China as the good guy. Under Trump this country has been repeatedly kicking itself in the groin & many Americans keep cheering because they hate (but in reality mostly fear mostly due to ignorance) the people Trump is attacking & don’t realize that unless they have $40 million to give to Melania, they are next.

I’m hoping that people start paying attention & will get righteously angry once the Puppy Bowl is over.

I’ll try to keep my rage at bay during the show today, but no guarantees.
