“480 Minutes” - Feels Like Spring & Autocracy
The Felon in Chief continues to defy the Supreme Court, U.S. law, the Magna Fucking Carta…meanwhile, Congress does nothing. This is it, folks. This is the big one. Nothing short of the rule of law is at stake. This is the transgression which, if allowed to stand, spells the end “liberty & justice for all.” If there is nothing to stop masked government goons from disappearing people off the streets w/o charges or warrants, we are all in danger of being disappeared. If said goons then whisk the disappeared onto a plane against the orders of a federal judge, then condemn them to life in an unholy concentration camp in a country beyond U.S. law, & even when we know the person was disappeared by mistake the gov’t refuses to rectify it’s mistake in defiance of the courts, then we are all in danger of ending up in a concentration camp if we step out of line or if the masked goons decide on a whim that we are on the menu.
Without the rule of law there can be no freedom. This is where we are now.
All that said I would be remiss if I didn't congratulate Der Orangefarbene Greifenführer on his great victory last week when he won his unprecendented fourth White House Easter Egg Roll, beating out hundreds of elementary school kids & afterwards sticking his tongue out at them while calling them “Total losers.” This year the event on the White House lawn had corporate sponsors for the first time ever (because no previous administration would have been so crass) including YouTube, Amazon, Facebook, The New York Stock Exchange, & Betty Crocker.
All of this makes other stories — like a California mayor saying that he wants to purge his city of homeless people by giving them free Fentanyl; puppy-murdering ICE Barbie Cosplayer Extraordinaire losing her security badge, passport, keys, & $3000 in cash when her purse was stolen; Defense Secretary Pete “In Over His” Hegseth yet again got caught sharing privileged information over Signal in a group chat including people who do not have security clearance…using an unsecured internet connection he had installed in his office against the security policies of the agency he runs — seem quaint.
