“480 Minutes” - Be Good To Each Other
Last week I had a bunch of friends in town from multiple continents. Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday night this week I spent quality time with different groups of local friends. Tomorrow I will spend quality time with yet another group of NY-area friends, although truth be told I will likely fall asleep in the middle of the blessed event due to the rules of engagement & sleep deprivation. Despite challenges (personal, familial, financial, technical, health) galore & nightmarish news every day, spending time with friends here in April has sprinkled a hint of optimism onto my days.

Based on this, some unsolicited advice: try to make a point of seeing people who make you happy & who would benefit from seeing your smiling face. Grab an ear/lend an ear/share ears. While the pandemic isn’t over, the loosening of public restrictions is likely here to stay. Take advantage of it as much as you feel comfortable with, & continue with your mitigation strategies as you see fit; keep wearing a mask/social distancing in certain situations if those things makes you more comfortable. Those who love you will be cool with it, anyone who isn’t…isn’t worth spending time with.
