“480 Minutes” - President Pelosi
Love her or hate her, one must stand in respectful awe of how House Speaker Nancy Pelosi handled the Trump/Stone/Thomas insurrection in real time. Video footage from that day, released yesterday during the latest January 6th Committee hearing, showed a level-headed leader directing the response to a dire, dangerous, unprecedented situation in which the Executive Branch of the U.S. government fomented an attack against her & the Legislative Branch. (This revelation takes all the mystery out of why the woman-hating, macho, chest-thumping GOP is so very afraid of her).
Anti-democracy forces breached the Capitol building led by far-right anti-government groups consisting largely of former military & police who were playing their part in a broader attack on democracy instigated by the loser of the 2020 Presidential election. Individual invaders/feces smearers may have had their own personal for reasons being there (i.e. “hang Mike Pence”), but they were summoned there for the clear purpose of disrupting the peaceful transfer of power & in so doing undermining representative democracy.
Benedict Orange sat on his tiny hands watching with glee as the “American Carnage” invented for his dark inaugural speech finally became reality right there on his TeeVee. Meanwhile Stone, a self-described “political dirty trickster” who sports a tattoo of the (now 2nd) most shameful president in U.S. history, employed as his own personal security detail the same far-right anti-government groups attacking the Capitol.
Meanwhile there was Pelosi, calling in the national guard (which Trump falsely claimed to have done — talk about victim-blaming), coordinating with anyone & everyone including the otherwise useless then-Vice President to protect the legislative branch of the U.S. government from the rogue doofus loser piece of shit & his brownshirts. Stunning.

The first song recommended for radio is over 9 minutes long, the second is over 7.5 minutes long, the third is over 10 minutes long. The shortest song on the record runs 6:41. I try to give The Gizz a long leash because when they get it right they are fantastic. The song lengths were the first clue that this might not be one of those times. My apologies KGLW fans — this stew of prog rock excess, free jazz ridiculousness, & overabundance of Jethro Tull flute is not BAGeL Radio material. Oh, & apparently they put out another new album on Wednesday besides this one, but that one hasn’t arrived here yet.
