In other news about things from decades ago, 39 years ago today the lead characters in The Breakfast Club served detention for their various infractions, learned about themselves, learned about each other, smoked some weed, danced, vandalized their high school, outwitted their tormentor teacher, & gave Ally Sheedy’s adorable black-clad ragamuffin character the worst makeover in the history of film.
In more current news, this week #YamTits posted an image of himself holding a baseball bat next to an image of NY Attorney General Alvin Bragg. Bragg is overseeing one of the many criminal investigations into #TheBiggestLiar. That image came amidst a flurry of posts including one claiming “[Bragg] is just carrying out the plans of the radical left lunatics. Our country is being destroyed, as they tell us to be peaceful!” If you or I were under criminal investigation & posted such obvious threats & calls to violence we would not still be sitting comfortably at home being allowed to broadcast more lies to incite violence. Hopefully by not doing that Bragg is strategically giving the #BenedictOrange more rope with which to hang himself, & the prosecutors in his office will incorporate the additional evidence to the case they are preparing. Normal-sized fingers crossed.
In future news: next Friday 480 Minutes will be a planned rerun as your host will be indisposed that day & a suitably sleep-deprived replacement has yet to be found…so make the most of the show today!
