“480 Minutes” - Fraudulent Slates of Electors? Do tell…

This week I learned that the guilty hate looking into mirrors — Senate schemer Mitch McConnell’s response to President Biden’s speech being one example. It turns out that when called out for blocking voting rights of minorities, Republicans get mad because they know they are guilty as charged. McConnell blasted Biden’s speech in which the President said that blocking minorities from voting puts one on the side of the systemic racism. Instead of arguing that point, which he can’t because (as previously noted but cannot be stated enough) Republicans are guilty as charged, McConnell instead said the speech wasn’t very nice.

Before we get to that silliness…we’ve now learned that members of Mitch’s side created fraudulent Electoral College certificates in at least 7 states. Had these insurrectionists succeeded in swapping out the actual EC certificates under the cover of the chaos at the Capitol on January 6th, 2021, they could have invalidated the votes of 13,244,011 Americans. They certainly would have created enough chaos for the the Biggest Orangest Loser (BOL for short) to remain in power “until we figure out what the hell is going on” as he famously, very Presidentially, once said. Republicans have been screaming about non-existent voter fraud for years, & now they’ve been caught trying to perpetrate voter fraud on a scale never before seen or even considered. Perhaps Mitch is trying to distract from that?

The Republican party is actively working to subvert the will of those who get to vote, suppress the right to vote, & reinforce the systemic racism they claim does not exist & certainly should not be discussed. But Mitch does not want to address that, he wants to talk about Biden’s speech being “beneath his office.” Mitch’s place of employment is on fire, the arsonists are members of his party inside the building, but… “squirrel!”

Biden’s speech was true and proportionate to the threat. Sadly, after 4 years of a President who debased said office trading in school-yard nicknames, constant lies, vulgarities, & constantly using the bully pulpit not to address the needs of the nation but to air his own grievances, even if there is a place “beneath his office,” Biden’s speech was far from it.

I don’t remember Mitch having such blistering words for the BOL when he shamelessly shoved Montenegro’s prime minister out of the way for a group photo at his first NATO summit where he also uttered the immortal profoundly un-Presidential words about an ally, “The Germans are evil, very evil.” Or when the BOL delivered speech so unhinged & inappropriate in front of 35,000 Boy Scouts at their Jamboree that the Boy Scouts felt the need to apologize to current and former membership? No, I don’t recall Mitch registering a complaint about that, or when BOL fellated Putin on global TV in Helsinki, either.

I think McConnell is trying to be as hypocritical as possible about the speech to cover for the other massive campaign of hypocrisy he’s running with right now: ]warning Democrats not to change the Senate rules, something he did frequently & without qualm when he was in charge. He’s even got Mitt Romney echoing this nonsense.

STFU, Mitch, & way to tarnish what’s left of your reputation, Mittens.

Based on all that you might think my pro-American democracy head was about to explode but check out the new music debuting today to see why life remains worth living: the 2nd new episode of 480 Minutes of 2022 will feature new music by Fairmont (North Jersey, @fairmont), Fontaines D.C.
