Rerun Weekend
Thanks for all the well-wishes following the passing of long-time studio cat, Jetta, y’all. Some of you met her, some of you know her from the “air play charts” image we’ve used for years, & still others know her as the responsible party for some technical issues over the years.
She was diagnosed with a fatal condition last year, but once we found the proper medications & dosages she had several months of pretty-good-for-an-old-lady-health. That was followed by about a month of slowing down & not bouncing back & knowing the end was nigh. Those were a difficult few weeks & it’s going to be a little while before the sadness begins to wane & acceptance begins to wax. Hosting last Friday was most difficult knowing it was going to be the last time I had the privilege of having Her Fuzzy Majesty on my lap while on the air. With that in mind we’re going to hear Jetta’s first ever show today.
I don’t feel up to hosting a show just yet, so today’s programming will kick off a weekend of reruns, beginning at 9 a.m. with the 480 Minutes episode from 36 hours after Jetta was found, rescued, & brought home. Here are a few photos from that day.
Not to be wishy washy but…if someone offers me $480 million to do a show tomorrow, I’m doing a show tomorrow — I’m a mess, not an idiot. $480 million would cover a lot of therapy.
