Welcome to the August 11th edition of "480 Minutes."

Today we will have FREE TICKETS to the next BAGeL Radio Presents... show this Monday (8/14) at Bottom of the Hill featuring Get Him Eat Him (Providence, RI), Evangelicals (Norman, OK), and The Living Blue (Champaign, IL), as well as FREE TICKETS for The Coup tomorrow night (8/12) at The Independent.

New music today will include Cursive, The Diableros, Kite Flying Society, Tap Tap, Get Him Eat Him, The Stairs (new to me), Snowden, Headlights, A Particularly Vicious Rumor, Radio Birdman, Ho-Ag, The Village Green, Nouvelle Vague, Lily Allen, Teenage Harlets, Huma, Kunek, and Electric Lights Flashing Very Fast.

Also today we will hear a 4-year old rarity -- a collaboration between Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes and Britt Daniel of Spoon. The recordings were made in Oberst's basement, and Daniels' Spoon bandmate Jim Eno did the production engineering. There were only 2000 copies pressed -- in this day and age, this is rare stuff. This will be a tremendous treat for fans of either band.
